Pusaka Adil was established in George Town, Penang, to address a gap that many families quietly face: the need for legal assistance with inheritance matters that is handled with patience and discretion, not haste.
Our founders observed, over many years of legal practice, that estate and inheritance matters often arrive at a time of personal loss. Families were expected to navigate complex legal requirements while managing grief, family dynamics, and financial uncertainty. We set out to make that process more manageable.
Since opening our doors in Penang, we have assisted families across the northern states of Malaysia with estate planning, probate administration, and the sensitive work of resolving contested claims. Our practice is modest in size by intention — we maintain a caseload that allows us to know each client's situation personally.

Called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001, Norhana has spent her career focused on estate and family law. She founded Pusaka Adil to bring a gentler pace to an area of law that often demands too much of grieving families.

Rajendran handles probate filings and court correspondence, drawing on more than a decade of experience with the Penang High Court. He is known for his methodical approach and clear written communications to clients.

Inheritance law in Malaysia involves a combination of statutes — including the Probate and Administration Act 1959, the Distribution Act 1958, and the Wills Act 1959 — and the relevant rules can differ significantly depending on the religion of the deceased, the nature of assets held, and whether a valid will was left.
For Muslim estates, distribution follows faraid (Islamic inheritance law) and is administered through the Amanah Raya Berhad or the Syariah courts in certain circumstances.
